Submissions

eDodo will consider all material submitted. eDodo will not censor any material, as long as it cannot be legally defined as libel or slander, and as long as it doesn't suck. Although we cannot describe what sucks, we know it when we see it.

The Dodo is back underground. We have taken it back from the officers and their red censor pens. Take advantage of your Constitutionally guaranteed right to free speech. Make fun of the retarded kid your Engr 410 class is being forced to help, the guy who got caught spanking it in the shower, and the nimrod down the hall who speaks Klingon every time he gets upset. We don't care. Just make it funny. You can even talk shit about the ex-president, but don't joke about killing him.

The Rules
  • Do not used lined or colored paper
  • Do not send in stuff that has been "making the rounds" via e-mail
  • Draw in ink (or trace over your pencil in ink)
  • Write legibly
  • Don't send us copyrighted material. This includes things such as Dilbert/Far Side cartoons with new text in place of the original text. It is illegal for us to run these cartoons.
  • Scan your work as a GIF or JPEG. Don't send us anything over a Meg or we'll kick your ass.
  • All submissions will be sized down to 500 pixels wide or smaller.
    • Drawings: scan as a black and white photo (i.e. grayscale) and size it so the largest dimension on the image is 1000 pixels or so. We prefer to resize drawings ourselves (most people don't know how to scan). Send as a JPG file. Example: send this in, we convert it to this.

    • Photos: send as a JPG. If you can, make it 500 pixels.
    • Other: if you use Paint and mouse your scribbles in, send in a PCX or GIF file.
  • If you only want to submit text, (i.e., a top ten list, social criticism, etc.) either type it in your email message or attach it as a text (.txt) file.
  • E-mail your drawing to eDodo as an attachment. (Stripe@eDodo.org)
  • Fax to 817-887-5907 (this only works for B/W drawings, and not very well)
  • If you cannot submit your work electronically, never fear. Simply mail it to: eDodo / 8301 Emerald Circle / NRH, TX 76180
